Phishing email asking for documentary evidence

We have been made aware by the Association of Electoral Administrators that some electors within the UK have received a phishing email asking for documentary evidence to process their register to vote application.
The phishing emails are being sent from electoral @ register-to-vote.electoral.agency, however similar email addresses may also be used.
The emails mimic a request for documentary evidence, asking the recipient to provide documents to verify their address and identity, such as a passport.
If you receive an email and are concerned this may be a phishing email, please do not hesitate to contact us and we can check to verify if this is authentic.
